How to calculate weight of steel at site ?

Formula - ( D*D/162 )* R.M.L

D= dia of bar
R.M.L = running meter length of steel

 

Example-

Suppose we are having 8mm steel & we have to calculate the weight of 8mm steel having length of  1 meter.

Solution-

( D*D/162 )* R.M.L

( 8 * 8/162 )* 1

( 64/162 )*1

0.395 * 1 = 0.395 KG or 395gm
Always take answer value in KG

Calculating weight of test cube at site???? There are different types of test for concrete,cube test is one of them. We will cast cube in cube mould at the time of casting. Generally we take 6 nos of mould, 3 nos for 7 days test & rest 3 nos for 21 days test. Let us go for calculating weight of test cube, Before we go for calculation we should know two things, Volume of cube = 0.15 * 0.15 * 0.15(units in meter) Unit weight of p.c.c cube = 2400 KG/CUM  Unit weight of r.c.c cube = 2500 KG/CUM  Weight of p.c.c cube = 0.15 * 0.15 *0.15 * 2400 = 8.1 KG Weight of r.c.c cube = 0.15 * 0.15 * 0.15 * 2500 = 8.43 KG PLEASE SUBSCRIBE MY SITE AND COMMENTS ABOUT THE CONTENT.THANK YOU
